Hunt the Leifker Wildlife Area

Description

The Leifker Wildlife Area is approximately 96 acres, is located six miles south of Cascade on Hwy 136, right before the Maquoketa River on the right side of the road, and bordered to the West by land. Most of the acres were planted in crops which are being converted to native grasses, buffer strips and shrubs to stop the continuing erosion along the river bank.  The Eastern Iowa Conservation Foundation owns the land and allows hunting and fishing.
